The Plot: In this third and final film in the original Walking Tall series, we follow Buford Pusser (Bo Svenson) once again as he lives out his final days. Still angry after the death of his wife, Buford continues to search for the man responsible for her death. However, he finds nothing but red tape standing in his way. Not only that, but there is an election coming up and the tides are slowly turning against Buford. Many of the residents, seeing the violence that has ensued since Pusser took over, have decided that they would like to see someone else filling his shoes. So, inevitably Buford does indeed lose in his election attempt, but he doesn’t let this bring him down. Even though he and his family are now in great debt, he looks for more answers by looking for employment in the highway patrol. However, a blessing comes his way when a movie producer expresses interest in taking his story and making it into a hollywood film. Although things are certainly looking up for Buford now, his war on crime will not subside!

Walking Tall Part II

The Plot: This sequel to the original Walking Tall opens with Bufford Pusser (now played by Bo Svenson) recuperating from the injuries he sustained during the conclusion of the previous film. His time as sheriff is drawing to a conclusion, and it is up in the air whether or not he will seek reelection. Buford still has unfinished business, however, and he looks to break up the stateline mob! He starts a new wave of crackdowns and he begins hitting the moonshiners hard and heavy. He continues to anger mob boss John Witter (Logan Ramsey), who vows to destroy Pusser if it is the last thing he does. With his right hand man Pinky Dobson (Luke Askew) at his side, Witter intends to concoct a series of assassination attempts that are meant to finally put an end to the brave sheriff. These assassination attempts will include hiring on a racecar driver named Studd (Richard Jaeckel) in order to lure Pusser into a death trap, and also using a seductive woman who will attempt to capture Pusser’s heart before killing him. Unfortunately for the mob, they continually underestimates the will of Buford Pusser! Will he finally put an end to organized crime across the state line, or will the mob finally get what they want?

The Plot: Our story begins with the exile of a young boy named Yuan Chengzhi (Philip Kwok) who moves to the mountains in order to be trained by the great master of the Lung Yau school of martial arts. Growing up in this situation, the young man learns great courage and is truly one of the best martial artists in all of the land. Soon, Yuan sets out to find his own path in life. When he does this, he discovers a hidden cave that was once the hideout of a brilliant martial arts master named Golden Snake. While dodging numerous boobytraps, Yuan learns that the Golden Snake has passed away and has left his martial arts manual and sword for whoever manages to find them. With these awesome gifts, he also discovers a lost treasure map and instructions to deliver a portion of the treasure to a certain woman. Yuan, being the righteous man that he is, sets out to find the woman and in the process he meets a spoiled and not-so-cleverly disguised young woman posing as a man named Wen Qingqing (Candy Wen). This awful costume somehow fools Yuan, and he becomes fast friends with Wen after she takes a liking to him. She brings him home, and it soon turns out that her family may have been involved in a battle with Golden Snake in the past. Also, could it be that the woman who Golden Snake left the gold for is actually in this very home?

Walking Tall

The Plot: Bufford Pusser (Joe Don Baker) is a former professional wrestler who has recently given up the limelight and decided to retire home to the countryside state line between Tennessee and Mississippi. His parents and old friends are excited to see him back, but there is a certain atmosphere that brews beneath the surface of the serene world that greets Buford. It seems that his one-time simple hometown has become a haven for organized crime! Moonshine liquor and underground gambling dens are the biggest forms of criminal activity, but with these small forms of crime come much larger acts of violence. When Buford attempts to stand up for the local citizens, he is nearly beaten to death. Eventually, he discovers that the criminals that run his small town have even forced their powers into the highest offices of local government. With anger building within the citizenry, Buford decides to stand up to the law and run for Sheriff himself. Once he is inevitably elected, he replaces the entire staff with handpicked men who feels that he can trust. With his new crew, Buford heads out with the intent of putting an end to the local mob. However, with this war against crime also comes a war against Bufford, and he will have to find a way to survive in this violent era.
