What’s up everybody! I’m back with a new update, chock full of awesome and ready to be dined upon! Anyway, nothing much happening here on the homefront. Nothing worth mentioning here at least, lots of drama. Anyway, took a couple of days longer than I intended, but here I am with this update and I hope everyone is having a good time!

NEW REVIEWS

Inglorious Bastards – Epic, classic, awesome. All equally fitting words for this Italian combat film. One of the most fun of this sort I think I have ever seen. Right up there with the likes of The Guns of Naverone and The Dirty Dozen. If you like some testosterone in your cinema and you’re looking to have a really great time; can’t go wrong with this one.

The Last Horror Movie – A much talked about horror flick that many consider a classic. Can’t say it impressed me THAT much, but I guess I can see where they’re coming from. Kind of torn on this one and may take a while to form an even more solid opinion of the film. Read the review to get my take on it!

Ten Tigers From Kuangtung – Chang Cheh featuring one of his largest casts, in terms of numbers and star power. Featuring all six Venoms as well as Ti Lung and Alexander Fu Sheng. Unfortunately that promise is somewhat lost with a script that wanders all over but never lets us get to know the characters. For the fans its still worth checking out, but if you’re new to the oldschool it might not be the best place to start.

OLD REVIEWS

Freak Out – Ahh, a classic that not many people know of. Freak Out is a silly and utterly ridiculous take on the slasher genre that still holds a very special place with me. So much fun and a total blast to sit back and watch on a rany afternoon. Fun stuff!

Friend (Review by KidCaffeine) – Kid Caffeine who I unfortunately haven’t been in touch with for a while is one of the coolest guys you will ever meet I guarantee you. Putting Denmark on the map, the guy has always been like my twin in terms of cinematic preferences. Hope the guy is going well these days. When the site first started he offered a few reviews to me like this one here for the South Korean gangster film Friend which has only seemed to really pick up any steam stateside recently. KC and I have been fans for years though! Check it out!

Full Alert – Ringo Lam is a director I will not stop ranting about until his name is as recognizable to the new fans as that of Johnny To and John Woo. He’s a director who has put out some really amazing work while both directors have found more international praise. He’s had a couple of stinkers, Jean Claude nearly killed his creativity, but he’s a guy that can’t be held down. Full Alert is a fun entry into his filmography and definitely worth looking into!

Frankenstein’s Castle of Freaks – That’s right, look at that title, you know exactly what you’re getting into. A b-movie for all b-movies, and definitely a mix of fun and complete and total stupidity. It’s not quite up there with the worst films I have seen – but it’s definitely a pretty goofy one.

That looks like it’ll do it for yet another one. Hope everyone has a great week and I hope you enjoy the reviews you silly children!
