Hey folks! As much as I wanted to add some additional content to the site in out celebration, but unfortunately yesterday was spent writing for Rogue Cinema and I didn’t get to finish the few reviews I am currently working on. So, you can expect reviews for Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen and Ip Man: The Legend is Born sometime in the next couple of weeks. We’re going to get back to the regular rule of thumb around here at Varied Celluloid, which means we’re going to go back to being VARIED once again! I personally can’t wait, because in all honesty I’m a bit wore out on the Kung Fu flicks! God bless anyone who exclusively writes about martial arts cinema, because it is a draining film genre to critique. The films are so similar, but still diverse enough for fans to really differentiate between them.Keep checking back, because we’ll have more content coming in short order! From my own personal writing, expect to see plenty of Pinky Violence and Giallo films!
