Johnnie To is one of those directors who almost can’t make a bad movie. Even when it’s bad, since it’s Johnnie To, it’s still pretty dang good. So I’m looking forward to Vengeance quite a bit, as it looks like it may be one of his best films yet. Hard to even imagine. The tale of a French chef who used to work as an assassin, who travels to Hong Kong in search of revenge for the death of his family. This new trailer shows some stylized violence unlike anything I remember seeing from To, as well as an ample amount of gunfire. Still, if it’s like his other work, the stuff that’ll keep your mind occupied is going to be the drama. Check out the trailer, then post in the forums and give us your thoughts!
