The pinky violence genre holds a very special place in the heart of Varied Celluloid. A genre that represents everything that was interesting about the cinema of Japan during the 1970s, the explicit definition of this genre can be a bit difficult to map out. Generally, it seems easy to argue that the definition is as follows: Youth oriented films that were made during the 1970s, predominately by Toei film studios, focusing on girls who run afoul of the law. However, this section of the site will cover a more vast array of films. Expect to see pink, roman porno, violent pink, and eru-guro titles mixed in with our pinky violence coverage.
