If you have spent any time searching around the net for obscure cinema, then you should already be well versed in the concept of Video Mixtapes. At one point the concept was dominated by those who had true editing experience, former film school students and true VHS enthusiasts, but in this day and age horror movie junkies can configure compilations and release them to an awaiting audience online who are willing to eat them up! Keep reading after the bump for a sample video!

I was sent the following link for a new video mixtape which certainly seems up my alley and should be of interest to Varied Celluloid regulars. It is called the Sodomatik Extreme Gore Mixtape Vol. 1 and definitely looks to have its feet placed firmly in the underground. If you follow the link you can download the DVD (it is a full size .iso that can be burned to a disk) and check it out for yourself. So often these video mixtapes are about the true-gore stuff, of which I am not a fan, but with the films listed this certainly looks like a real winner with no true life violence.

If you’re interested, you can check out this youtube sample which features one of the most impressive moments from the All Night Long series of films! These guys definitely have some fine taste in extreme cinema!
