Posted by Josh Samford On May - 22 - 2012

Zoom Up: The Beaver Book Girl (1981)
Director: Takashi Kanno
Writers: Chiho Katsura
Starring: Junko Mabuki, Hayano Kumiko, and Yoshiko Saski

The Plot: Zoom Up: The Beaver Book Girl takes place within the world of amateur pornography. We focus primarily on a small trio who specialize in both upskirt and urine-based pornography. The group is made up of The Master, who is the visionary of this group, his assistant, and their model. This trio travels around Japan looking for various interesting locations to shoot their particular brand of erotica. While out shooting some fetishistic material, the group notices a strange woman following them around town. When they make it back to their apartment, the strange woman eventually introduces herself. She is a lady quite unlike any other model who has worked for The Master before. She is willing to degrade herself in ways that few women would, and she seems more interested in thrills than she does money. Something is different about this woman, however, and not all of her qualities are guaranteed to be good. As she fulfills every wish that The Master has, she also fulfills some goals of her own.

Posted by Josh Samford On April - 12 - 2012

True Story of a Woman in Jail: Sex Hell (1975)
Director: Kôyû Ohara
Writers: Kôyû Ohara and Akira Momoi
Starring: Hitomi Kozue, Meika Seri and Maya Hiromi

The Plot: True Story of a Woman in Jail: Sex Hell is as provocative as the title might imply. A women in prison story, the plot focuses on a group of women fresh in the juvenile hall system. Mayumi is our gateway into this world, and unlike many others who are new to prison life, she isn’t afraid to fight back. Although the guards are quite oppressive, trading food for sex at times, the most harrowing experiences awaiting Mayumi come from her fellow inmates. Despite this, Mayumi doesn’t intend to spend her entire life in this hell hole. She eventually partners up with another inmate and the two hatch a scheme to escape the prison. However, many of the other prisoners will stand in her way, and the authorities who wish for her to bow down to their will may also prove to be a threat. Sex, violence, and bloody tampons are all what await you when starting True Story of a Woman in Jail: Sex Hell.

A new pathway opens in her life when she hears about a old friend from school who is now working at a high-class brothel. She soon realizes that if she wants her masochistic fantasies to come true, this would likely be the ideal place. After picking up her very first John, via an accidental phone call, Ami knows that this is the life for her. She has to fulfill these sexual needs, and she will do whatever it takes to achieve her goals. She immediately runs to the previously mentioned brothel in order to begin her new life. However, it seems as if there may be someone behind the scenes pointing her in this direction. Furthermore, when she gets everything that she thinks she wants, will it prove to be too much?

Roman Review

Posted by Josh Samford On August - 16 - 2009

Sup everybody, told you I had this one in the bag! Just wanted to wait for it and make the review a lil’ more special. That and I had some fights last night that I just had to watch, but regardless here we are with my review for Roman. Not exactly the classic that Lucky and his crew have delivered in the past but it’s still an interesting and expressive artistic experiment. Yup, it’s one of “those” kinda movies. Check out the review and see what you think!

The Plot: Roman is a “different” kind of guy. He lives alone in his apartment, doesn’t watch TV and at a certain point of day he opens his blinds just so he can watch a certain beautiful girl walk past. He’s in love with her despite not speaking a word to her. As would be the case, he does meet up with her on the roof one day and the two strike up a conversation. When she winds up back in Roman’s place, Roman suddenly feels the urge to keep her there no matter what. When she apparently gets a little freaked by his behavior, she starts to leave but Roman won’t allow her. The two begin wrestling and Roman covers her mouth and accidentally ends up strangling her. Roman is destroyed, and decides to hide the body rather than take on the responsibilities of his crime. He keeps her in his bathtub and fills it with ice to keep her preserved. Slowly he begins to take a piece of her body out and getting rid of it every Sunday. Things get complicated though as Roman finds a new love interest, in the bubbly girl in his apartment building who has a infatuation with death. What will Roman do, and does he still have that killer instinct?
