Post Black Dynamite!
I am sooooo looking forward to this flick. It looks just... I don't know, words can't describe the awesomeness. For those who don't know, Black Dynamite is a new blaxploitation-spoof that really sets itself in the times. With Michael Jai White (Spawn, Kill Bill, The Dark Knight) in the starring role, which is kind of a mix between Dolemite, Black Belt Jones and The Mack. They look like they've nailed everything, from the quality of the film stock to the characteristics of a blaxploitation character. It really looks like a lot of fun. Check out the Red Band trailer:

Yeah, I'm curious what kind of filters they're using, because it looks so damn well aged :D I'm curious if Tommy Davidson and Arsenio Hall can deliver the funny, since both guys have really fallen off in the past... I guess decade or so :P

Classic.
I already love this movie.

Speaking of grindhouse.....anyone play House of the Dead Overkill on the Wii.
Its a great game and you will see exploitation/grindhouse influence all over it.
Its all over real fast, but its funny as hell.

Haven't had a chance to play it yet, but I've read a lot of good things about it. The first House of the Dead game I've ever really had much interest in playing on a console.

Saw this a little while back. The finale loses some steam near the end, but by the time the movie ended, my face was in absolute pain. Why? Because the non-stop grin that I had all nearly all throughout the movie left me hurting badly (That ever happen to any of you before?)
There's really some GREAT lines muttered all through this bad boy (Some original. Others being nods/homages to the flicks of it's inspiration like The Mack and Superfly)

Michael Jai-White, a testament to his acting, is unrecognizable for the most part. You never see him. All you see is Black "DINO-MITE! DINO-MITE!" <----You won't be able to get that saying out of your head the minute you finish this movie. Believe that!

Be on the lookout for some footage of Al Adamson's Dynamite Brothers during the big action montage when Black Dynamite is cleaning up the streets!

Did you catch it in theaters LB? This seems like one of those flicks that should go over like gangbusters in a room crowded with Genre film fans!

Well, I'm off to go see this. I MAY NOT RETURN. Minneapolis is kind of a scary place to be by oneself in the wee hours, walking unlit streets.

If I don't report back in a week, it means I got cornholed and murdered. :o

EDIT: Made it home safely. WHAT an incredible movie! And I didn't feel that the movie lost steam toward the end. Hilarious from start to finish.

Looking forward to a proper Blu-ray release of this, keeping all that beautiful grain and detail intact.

Wound up watching it two nights in a row. Both crowds were great.

This is seriously the funniest movie I've seen in a long time. I'd also go so far as to say it's the best movie to come along in years. Brilliant from the moment it begins to the very last bit of credits.

Cripes, I've got to see this :D Seeing it with a crowd has to be the best experience though.

I got a copy of the screener DVD. Apparently it's only showing in like one theater or some such.

Watched it yet gumo? I've seen few people who disliked it at this point so it seems most everyone really digs it. Anyone know a release date for a DVD?
